The Company will plan all its activities, which may have a significant effect on the environment, in line with its Environment Management System (EMS). The Company will review this policy annually as part of its EMS. Health and Safety issues are to be considered as part of the environment and their effects taken into account in the development and implementation of the policy. The Company will identify and assess all significant likely environmental affects as a direct or indirect consequence of its actual or planned activities, and limit the environmental impact to a practical minimum, having due regard to releases into the environment, energy consumption and its own waste production. When planning new activities or services the Company will identify and consider alternative options and make assessment of their environmental in relation to market conditions and feasibility. The Company will consider any requests or suggestions from the public and will seek the views of local interest groups with regard to the environmental impact of its activities and services provided or intended.
This Environmental Policy will be available to view on request, any environmental objectives developed, as part of this policy will be publicly available on accessible notice boards, or upon reasonable request. The Company will aim for continual improvement in its environmental impact standards and will seek to exceed any legislative standard property applied. This improvement will continue until the environmental impact of its activities and services has been lowered to a practicably achievable minimum. The Company is committed to achieving an EMS to an approved and recognised British Standard; to this aim all senior staff will be responsible for the correct implementation of the EMS within their areas of responsibility. The Company will ensure that all staff are aware of its environmental aims and objectives, and are given sufficient training and resources to enable them to meet those aims and objectives which apply to their areas of responsibility. The Company will identify, where appropriate, the best environmental option when procuring new or replacement items and will seek to use suppliers with Environmental Policy and an EMS to a suitable standard. Frank Cocks is the person responsible for the implementation of Environmental Policy with regard to the Company’s undertakings. |
